Fraudster probably using old folks SingPass to alter !! So is SingPass safe ?? There shld have banking traces to the fraudster account.! Cpf - plse , shld have nomination form filled up / updated by members yearly

No blame culture again is it? this type of error very serious... This type of error cannot be verified/clarified because if there are any discrepancies, we may be dead already becos we trust CPF and we don't check regularly or the error happens just before we die. How to verify when we are dead? Our family members may think we have mistresses and leave the $$$ to the "mistresses" then we kana cursed when we are already dead.

There should not be so much secrecy surrounding CPF nominations. At the very least, existing nominees should be informed when they are removed from the list, or if new nominees got added to the list. Transparency is the only way to combat fraud.

I believe Singpass is too lax on their security. Singpass contains our own personal profile and strictly only Government agencies can gain access it. But I m sure that everybody is aware that nowadays, lots of organisations such as Banks, Insurance even money lending agencies are insisting that u must log in or register thru Singpass b4 u can gain access to their applications

Mr Loo, fraudster usually do it quick and dirty way. I don’t believe “fraudster” so silly to put their name himself with not certainty of getting anything out from that nomination, don’t know how many donkey years he has to wait for her death and put himself at risk to go thru these years as fraudster. I think the Auntie probably mistakenly name him or something else had happened that she is not telling.

Not surprise… scammer probably have targeted old folks to sell their Singpass for a few hundreds bucks.. They thought they sold the scammer an account only yet they may not know with Singpass they can amend the nomination with 2 witness. Witness can be PR also. 😢

Why is it not reported in the news if it is true? Fake news?

A possibility is that she may have been approached at some promotion, whereby the frauster may have asked her to log in to her account to help her check, which I found is very common nowadays at shopping centres promoting Skill Development when you tell them you do not know how to check your balance etc. The frauster will assist you and may have gotten control from there to make the changes.
